The Health & Sexy Show

The pursuit of healthy habits and freedom from disease

Sean Bannister Season 1 Episode 4

Our habits determine who we are, how we live, and the consequences we experience, good or bad, as a result. Animals are a slave to their instincts, where humans are a slave to habits. If we are a slave to habits, they might as well be good habits! Developing positive health and wellness habits are often the difference between being in good health or succumbing to disease.

Optimally our health and wellness efforts will be preemptive or implemented before disease or complications are present. Maintaining a healthy weight, abstaining from tobacco use, and lowering our stress levels are important initial steps to be taken. Most often our commitment to our health is the result of a chronic disease diagnosis. Therapeutic lifestyle changes meant to control, and possibly reverse disease, are the same as those meant to prevent it.

Early investment in our health reaps the most benefit for us. Special focus is on eating an appropriate amount of nutrition each day and maintaining a healthy weight along with increasing our activity. There are quick and easy techniques to get us started in these important areas such as having water and a piece of fruit before meals and parking our cars farther away when we are out and walking more.

The professionally beautiful give us insight into the commitment we need to make in our own health. The 56-year-old Academy Award winner Brad Pitt has been doing it for decades. He still doesn’t disappoint when he takes off his shirt. What more could you want?
